Commitment Issues

This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Relationship 411
  • Commitment Issues

Do you experience commitment issues? I am speaking of romantic commitment issues with women. Some men and women have these issues and they are not simply going to go away without clear communication.

Clear communication is essential in any type of relationship especially those which involve matters of the heart. If there is a problem, talk it out. If she seems angry rather than pretend nothing is wrong, try to listen to what she is saying. Notice those verbal queues and back off when your gut instinct tells you to do so.

Perhaps those commitment issues stem from different work ethics. Step up to the plate and get a job or cut back on your hours to spend time with her. Do not sit around and watch TV if she is working her butt off trying to make the money. Do not work long twelve-hour days for weeks on end, and skip spending quality time with her.

One of the hidden things most people in a committed relationship forget is while they like the pet names perhaps their partner does not. No woman likes to be called sweetheart, hon, dear or those other pet names all the time.  She has a name and she would like you to use it occasionally. Personally, if a boyfriend calls me pet names all the time, I wonder if he has forgotten my name.

Spending quality time with her does not mean simply going shopping with her, or watching TV with her. Quality time is time where you both enjoy the activity and are having fun.

If you are a male who seems to be rejected often then you need to look at the commitment issues you have.  It is not hard to see the pattern if you really take a hard look at yourself and your history.
